2022 ASCOT Awards

The Ascot Awards 2022 Honors Spirits of French Lick with multiple Awards.

 

French Lick, IN— May 27th, 2022

The American Spirits Council of Tasters (ASCOT) or Ascot Awards is an International Spirits Competition created by acclaimed spirits personality and veteran tasting judge Fred Minnick. This competition provides a unique opportunity for distilleries to have their products featured on Fred’s podcasts, streaming shows, media appearances, social media, news articles, newsletters, and even festivals. The Competition is broken down into two parts, Marketing/Design and Taste, which is overseen by Fred Minnick himself as well as his experienced Council of Tasters. The Council of Tasters is comprised of twenty top spirit tasters in the industry. These judges are well-trained, long-time spirit professionals who also participate in numerous other tasting competitions. During the competition, entries were blind tasted, analyzed, and graded on a 100-point scale based on criteria related to the appearance, aroma, taste, and finish.

Award Levels-

Double Platinum-Outstanding, earns top marks from all judges.

Platinum- Excellent Product that meets very high standards.

Gold- A finely crafted spirit deserving recognition.

Honorable Mention- meets the standards of the industry.

 

In the Taste Portion of the Competition, the Ascot Awards have awarded Spirits of French Lick with a Platinum Medal for their Lee Sinclair 4 Grain Bourbon Bottled in Bond. Gold Medals were given for The William Dalton Wheated Bourbon- Bottled in Bond, the Mattie Gladden Bottled in Bond Bourbon, as well as The Old Clifty Hoosier Apple Brandy. The Morning Glory Kasha Bourbon received an

honorable mention.
